I’m Lydia McCaulley Hunter!
I'm a birth and family photographer and a postpartum doula based in Columbia, SC.
As a photographer, I preserve timeless and unscripted moments for families to cherish forever. I specialize in capturing natural interactions, ensuring that each photo reflects genuine emotions and connections. I also have the honor of photographing births, capturing the intimate and powerful moments of a baby's first breath and the emotional journey of welcoming a new life into the world.
As a postpartum doula, I provide emotional, physical, and informational support to parents during the postpartum period. I help create safe and nurturing spaces for mothers to rest and restore while their babies grow and learn.
MY STYLE
These are the words that I think of when I’m working—capturing your journey in an image—telling your story, not my version of your story. My job is to create a series of images that document, and preserve, your emotions.
I don’t position you in front of the camera and say smile. I support you, listen to you, watch your actions, and sit with you. I provide the resources you need to feel supported. I speak true words over you, pray for you, and encourage you to find joy in the journey. I tell the story of your life and your love.
